What is Balinese massage
The Balinese massage, also called Massage Bali, is an alternative therapy for our body to heal through techniques such as massage, stretching, acupressure, reflexology, yoga and aromatherapy, among others. For this, not only hands are used, but also knees and feet. This therapeutic discipline from Bali, one of the more than seventeen thousand islands of Indonesia, drinks from traditional Ayurvedic and Hindu medicine and traditional Chinese, although it should be noted that the island already had its own, Jamu, practiced by its inhabitants to feel more beautiful, both inside and out.
The Balinese are massages that are characterized by working one hundred and seven energetic points existing in the human body, the marmas, with the purpose of stimulating the internal organs. The masseuse, in addition to using his extremities as a dance, with smooth and harmonious movements of his hands during friction, makes use of natural oils to enhance calm in the client. Some of the most used are jasmine, sage and sandalwood. It also places bags with flower infusions in the eyes to accentuate that relaxing atmosphere.
There are two variants of Balinese massage, depending on where they are made. On the one hand, we find the one that knocks the user onto a stretcher; on the other, the one that places him on a Japanese futon.
